TRAVEL & PARKING

Airbourne is an enormously popular event and inevitably sees an increase of traffic to the town. We advise arriving as early as possible to avoid the traffic queues.

Traffic updates and parking availability will be broadcast on Radio Airbourne 87.7FM throughout the event.

Car / Car Parking / Rail / Air / Sea / Cycle

Car

Main roads onto Eastbourne are the A22 & A23 from London , A27 linking Hastings , Dover and the Channel Tunnel, A259 & A27 from Brighton .

Car Parking

Car parks are available at:

Five Acre Field – at the eastern end of the seafront (Click for map) – open Thursday to Sunday. Open at 08.00am . Roads will be signposted. Bus service runs to and from the main Airbourne site.

Eastbourne bus costs £2.00 per adult each way (one child free with each adult), additional children cost £1.00 each way. First bus at 9:30 then every 15 minutes until 19:30 , except Sunday when special Fireworks Link operates every 30 minutes until 22:30 from Cavendish Place.

St Andrew's School Field – at western end of seafront (Click for map ) – open SATURDAY and SUNDAY only. Road will be signposted. Open at 08:00 . Eastbourne Bus stops in Wellcome Crescent at the top of the school field and runs to the main arena. Cost is £1 each way, first child travels free and additional children 50p each way. Buses run 09:30 – 19:30 every 20 minutes Sat & Sun only. Return pick up point on King Edward's Parade

NCP Car Parks: Junction Road (Click for map) and Trinity Place (Click for map)

Beachy Head : Butts Brow (Click for map), Warren Hill (Click for map) and Beachy Head Road (map) – all pay and display. The Dencher (further along Beachy Head Road) Click for map £2 per car - pay attendant.

Rail

Regular trains from London , Brighton and Hastings .

Lots of visitors to the air show travel by train, for the safety of all passengers a queuing system will be in operation at Eastbourne railway station between 4pm and 8pm on all four days of the show. We would advise passengers to allow plenty of time for their journey if they plan to travel from Eastbourne station between these times.

Air

London Gatwick http://www.baa.com/main/airports/gatwick is approximately one hour away.

Sea

Newhaven is 30 minutes and Dover is 2 hours via the A259

Cycle Park
